I woke up this morning and feeling really happy on my journey to this new zero free lifestyle. I have a good system in place, I have my morning milk from www.milkandmore.co.uk a weekly supply of organic vegetables from www.abelandcole.co.uk and getting a lot of my dry ingredients in compostable bags from www.realfoods.co.uk. I have a water filtration system so my water is very clean and fresh and not need to buy water in single use plastic bottles. I am reducing my waste each day by not buying anything in plastic. Taking on the motto reduce, refuse, reuse, repair, recycle and rot, I would also like to add borrow. We often buy something just for one occasion, or one use. Far better, to borrow an evening dress, for that black tie event where you need something that you only will wear once.
Today I visited a website called the carbon calculator. I will be travelling to Spain soon and went on the calculator and so to offset my footprint I donated $15 to plant a tree. I suggested that all the guests who were attending the retreat would do the same.
There is a test that you can take at WWF carbon footprint.
I will be taking this test and let you know how it went
